Keeping moisture out of your building both reduces slip-hazards and helps to protect internal flooring from damage and wear. Absorba Mat from Birrus, is specifically designed to meet this challenge and is a popular choice for a range of commercial building entranceways.

High-Performance – features raised rubber squares which prevent the pile from crushing
Effective – A raised and reinforced rubber dam around the mat’s boarder traps the water and debris.
Range of Colours & Sizes – 5 colours and 10 standard sizes or can be made to a custom size
Installation Options – can be recessed or supplied edged with grippers for loose-laying
Versatile – suitable for installation outside your entranceway or inside the building
Durable – nitrile rubber backing and borders won’t curl or crack, to ensure that even under continual exposure to water, the mat will not degrade

INSTALLATION OPTIONS

Surface Mounted:
– Edged for loose-laying with grippers to reduce movement of the mat under-foot.

Recessed Install
– Supplied with a matting frame in Aluminium/Brass or Stainless-steel.
– Loose, mitred and drilled for screw-fixing.

For Recess Applications:
– Ensure recess is clean, level and smooth (for gluing in mat the recess will need an engineered screed or skim coat to ensure adhesion).
– Install angles using glue or mechanical fixings.
– Glue in the mat using a contact adhesive or pressure sensitive glue.
– It is advised that the mat be unrolled and allowed to adjust to climate for 8-24 hours.

For Surface Mounted Applications:
– Unroll the mat and roll the edges down, these will relax over time and lay flat.
– Ensure the substrate is clean from dirt and debris.
